More than 350 road signs take guests from vintner to vintner, from wine taverns to restaurants, from town to town. From Perchtoldsdorf via Gießhübl, Hinterbrühl, Mödling, Gumpoldskirchen, Pfaffstätten, Baden, Sooß, Bad Vöslau, Kottingbrunn, Leobersdorf, Sollenau, Schönau, Günselsdorf, Teesdorf, Tattendorf, Oberwaltersdorf, Trumau, Traiskirchen, Guntramsdorf, Maria Enzersdorf to Brunn am Gebirge.
The wine specialists like to pass on their knowledge. And visitors thus have the unique opportunity to hear interesting "tales" about wine from the vintners in every one of the 22 wine villages, to enjoy a good wine on the premises or with a excellent meal, and to buy a few bottles at farm-gate prices. Round off the wine program with a delightful hike in the sun-kissed vineyards.
A variety of wine festivals and events are offered by the thermal region wine route, but the highlight of every wine year is the Wine Harvest in Lower Austria. You can find all Wine Harvest events in the Weinherbst-Journal (Wine Harvest Journal) or at www.weinherbst.at.
And a real wine journey along the thermal region wine route naturally also includes the "Wein & Genuss Reise-Pass" (Wine & Enjoyment Passport) that provides information on all establishments along with many tips for all kinds of wine excursions. You can look forward to getting a small present after you have visited six establishments with this passport. The "Wein & Genuss Reise-Pass" is available free of charge from all establishments as well as ARGE Weinstraße.
You too can travel along the road of aficionados, get to know the thermal region with all its traditional wine taverns, discover wonderfully interesting, cultural, historical and hiking events along your road to the wine!
