Наряду с горячими серными источниками виноградарство всегда было одним из важнейших источников дохода баденцев. Римские легионеры облагородили местную дикую виноградную лозу южными сортами винограда и ввели изысканную технику выращивания. Сад Рёмерберг и улочка Пробусгассе до сих пор напоминают о вкладе Италии в виноградарство Бадена. Впервые виноделы Бадена получили официальное свидетельство после дегустации маркграфом Бабенберга Леопольдом III, по этому свидетельству в 1113 году в собственность монастыря Клостернойбург перешли пять виноградников Бадена.
В настоящее время почти 100 семей в Бадене занимаются виноделием. Расположение на краю Среднедунайской низменности создает идеальные климатические условия. Баденские виноградники поставляют великолепные качественные вина. Каждый год 340 гектаров виноградников приносят почти 12000 гектолитров вина. С 1918 года половина урожая отправляется в погреба Баденской ассоциации виноделов, другая половина разливается в небольших винных ресторанчиках под названиями «Бушеншанк» и «Хойригер».
Почти 70 процентов виноградников дают белое вино. Культивируются прежде всего следующие сорта: Грюнер Вельтлинер, Вайсбургундер, Нойбургер и типичные для региона редкие сорта Ротгипфлер, Цирфандлер, Мускат и Траминер. Среди сортов красного винограда лучшим качеством обладают Блаубургундер, Цвайгельт и Блауер португизер.
Специфичными для Бадена можно назвать вино Баденер лумпентюрль (Badener Lumpentürl), высокосортное вино Нойбургер и кюве красного вина Баденской коллегии виноделов. Баденские вина известны и ценятся полнотой вкуса, тонким ароматом и фруктовой кислинкой.
